TANZANIANS who have assumed foreign nationalities will get permanent resident permits starting next year as government evaluates the possibility of having a dual citizenship law.
This was said by Home Affairs Minister Shamsi Vuai Nahodha in Parliament on Friday evening while winding up debate relating to his ministry's budget estimates.
Mr Nahodha, who drew a lot of attention from the lawmakers because of presenting his ministry's budget from an ipad tablet, said the permits will allow those seeking dual nationality to enjoy all the rights as nationals except seeking public office. READ MORE
